The 13th annual Conference on Health and Humanitarian Logistics (HHL) was co-led by the Humanitarian Logistics Association and Georgia Tech Center for Health and Humanitarian Systems. Other organizers included NC State, INSEAD Humanitarian Research Group, MIT Humanitarian Response Lab, and Northeastern University.
As the world faces ongoing challenges to meet basic human needs and uncertainties due to natural and health emergencies, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, it is essential to bring together both senior and field based supply chain representatives from NGOs, the UN, industry, governments, academia, and others to discuss current and future priorities, strategies, and best practices in the health and humanitarian sectors. Together HLA, Georgia Tech, and their partners will leverage their networks to increase positive impact.
Since its inauguration in 2008, the HHL Conference has travelled around the world including the United States of America, Germany, Malaysia, Mexico, South Africa, Denmark, the United Arab Emirates, and Rwanda. The 2021 HHL Conference will be hosted virtually, enabling high level, lively, and informative engagement from a large and diverse group of participants from around the world, on topics such as:
The presentations and case studies will highlight opportunities and challenges arising from recent events both from public and corporate/economic perspectives, with voices from different geographical locations including the Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America. Discussions and interactions at the conference will increase awareness and catalyze further innovation and collaboration, with the continued sharing of learnings and recommendations via a post-conference program of activities which will also inform future HHL Conference agendas.
The HHL Conference is an ideal platform for sponsors to shine a light on their brand to a wide targeted audience, increase visibility, and express their support and commitment to progress in health and humanitarian systems, for a healthier, happier, and peaceful future.
